Cookie policy
Updated 28 August 2026.
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser to remember something about your visit. This policy explains which cookies you can expect on this site and how to manage them.
Cookies set by this site
One, and only if you ask for it. When you switch the language in the header, the site remembers that choice in a cookie named "jezik", so that the next time you visit, the home page greets you in the language you chose. The cookie lasts a year, holds nothing but the label "hr" or "en" and says nothing about you; it is set by the site itself, and the legal basis is our legitimate interest in honouring the choice you made yourself. No consent is needed for it, as it serves only a service you explicitly requested. The site has no analytics or advertising tools, so beyond that it stores nothing for a visitor in cookies or in the browser's local storage. The contact form works without cookies.
Editorial cookies
The site also has an administration area used only by our editors. Only upon signing in does the content management system set its necessary cookies: "payload-token" (the sign-in, valid for two hours), "payload-theme" (light or dark interface theme, one year) and "payload-lng" (interface language, one year). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining the site, and these cookies are never set for an ordinary visitor.
Third party cookies
There are none. The map in the locations section is drawn within the page itself, and the base map sits on our own server alongside the rest of the site - nobody outside sees that you opened the map or which part of town you are looking at. The data the base map is built from comes from OpenStreetMap, but nothing is fetched from their servers when you view the map. The "Directions" link on the map opens Google Maps only when you click it yourself.
How to manage cookies
You can review, block and delete cookies in your browser settings. The steps differ from browser to browser:
- Google Chrome - Settings, Privacy and security, Cookies and other site data.
- Safari - Settings, Privacy.
- Mozilla Firefox - Settings, Privacy and security.
- Microsoft Edge - Settings, Cookies and site permissions.
Blocking or deleting cookies does not affect how this site is displayed; without the "jezik" cookie, the only difference is that on your next visit the home page will not greet you in your chosen language by itself.
Legal framework
The storage of data in users' terminal equipment is governed by the Croatian Electronic Communications Act (Official Gazette 76/22, 14/24 and 45/26), and the processing of personal data by the General Data Protection Regulation. More about the processing of personal data is set out in the Privacy policy.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the content of the site or the tools it uses change. The version date is given at the top of the document.
The Croatian version of this document prevails. The English translation is provided for ease of understanding.
